About Me
Hi, I'm Jules Durand--Delon, a Junior Game & Level Designer
Passionate about video games from an early age, I started by creating my own maps for games like Doom, Half-Life 2, and Half-Life: Alyx. These first experiments sparked my interest in level design, concept creation, and world-building, and confirmed my ambition to work in the video game industry.
After high school, I worked to finance my studies in Game Design at E-artsup in France. This program gave me the opportunity to explore game design, level design, as well as the entire 3D production pipeline (modeling, sculpting, texturing, optimization, and integration into Unity).
I had the chance to apply these skills through student projects, game jams, and personal projects. These experiences taught me how to manage production both as part of a team (concept creation, planning, documentation, coordination) and independently, using tools such as Trello, Miro, Notion, and the Office/Google suites.
What I enjoy most is designing original experiences, whether it’s a unique gameplay mechanic, a distinctive atmosphere, or a complete concept. I also keep a close eye on the video game industry: new releases, events, and creators, from indie developers to major studios.
Outside of video games, I draw inspiration from cinema, literature, and music, as well as from new technologies such as virtual reality.
